Came across this beautiful write up by Bob Marley, really really wanted to share...

Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

Actually, we all find that one special person, for some its their Mums, some its their Dad, friend, husband, wife, girlfriend... And when we do, life is then nothing short of bliss. Someone who can just sense your emotions in a sms, or eyes. If you have such a person, cherish him/her. Let them know how important they are to you. Life is full of shocks and surprises, things happen, and before we decide to tell someone how special they are, people slip away. And we live in regret forever.....

Take it easy policy...

A friend walked in, to have coffee, her house also is empty by 8 and so is mine. So sometimes, we catch up for our lil tete-a-tete over coffee. Talking about coffee, I have turned the American way, I now prefer black coffee to white. Well, the first cuppa is with milk. Her Mum is an amazing baker, she had sent homemade peanut butter cookies. So, my neighbour was generous enough to get some for me. I made the famous South Indian filter coffee, and we plonked ourselves on the couch. She seemed a lil disturbed, so after a lot of prodding, she finally asked me if I thought she was obsessive about being perfect. So I instantly said Yes! And she was shocked, she said how could I have known that about her, as I have known her only for few months. So I laughingly pointed out at certain incidents and told her that I have a penchant for observing people and their mannerisms, and I can't help it. We laughed, then she asked, but what's wrong in doing things perfectly? I told her nothing, ...

NO (WO)MAN NO CRY..

So, the weekend's agenda was 'meet the inlaws' - my inlaws. And like many women, inspite of being married for a long time, the 'inlaw' factor still stirs a lot of mixed emotions, though I have learnt my way out and in of nagging situations, my heart continues to beat faster. Anyway, there were lot of children, as it was my nephew's birthday party. The kids were playing, shouting, running, jumping, fighting - exactly in that order. My son. all of 8 is a little sensitive, he hasn't  learnt yet to deal with violent or hyper energetic kids. He kept requesting a kid of his age to stop kicking him, but the other one didn't listen, and as it's famously said, "Survival of the fittest", my son finally kicked back, and blocked him using his karate moves,(at last the technique was put to use)! The fight actually increased, as the other kid now charged with all his might. By the time the elders stopped the fight, that kid had hurt my son, I was ch...

I do not give up on people, I never do. Sadly, they give up on me.  I guess I am someone who can be just dismissed. _________________________________________________________ People who express themselves aren't attention seekers. When you don't like someone's updates, why don't you just block them? If you don't want to block, use the option of 'hide from news feed', but stop judging. __________________________________________________________ I trusted people and shared everything, only for them to point fingers at me later. I don't influence others to behave in a particular manner with the people I don't get along. It just hurts when they take a decision on their own, and later very easily throw it on my face. What did I do? ___________________________________________________________ I realized, that when someone cries, the world sympathises and accepts him/her as sensitive. When someone braves everything quietly, gets labelled as ...
